A Tacoma native, Patricia and her family live with their three cats Tigger, Lazlo, Crooky and pittie, Max! And most recently added to the family, Bob the tortoise! All four fur babies keep everyone busy. One day Patricia hopes to own her own cat rescue and partner with local shelters to help as many felines as possible find their forever homes.
Patricia has been working in the veterinary field since 2003 and is amazing at what she does for our clients and our hospital. We feel lucky indeed that she chose to join us in 2010!
A native of Seattle and Tacoma, Julia has returned to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital after nine years of wining in Walla Walla and dining in Portland. During her detour, Julia found her furry soul mate, a sweet and handsome poodle/terrier mix named Wilson. Like that other daydreamer who wandered over the rainbow with her four-legged sidekick, Julia realized there’s no place like home and came back to help manage the animal hospital she helped Dr. Warren open.
Julia spends her time out of the office traipsing around the Stadium neighborhood, watching movies at The Grand, dining up and down the 1-5 corridor, and regaling her friends and fans with stories of her travels.
Hi I’m Lachelle, I’m a Colorado native who recently moved to Washington with my Pomeranian, Calvin and orange tabby, Hudson.
So far I’ve been enjoying the pacific northwest and all that Washington has to offer.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors as much as possible. I like to travel and hope to get the opportunity to travel outside the country more!
My background includes working as a client care representative at other Veterinary Hospitals, and have worked in customer care for several years.
My love for animals and interest in veterinary medicine keeps me motivated to provide exceptional client and patient care. I look forward to getting to know our clients and their fur babies!

Leanna is a native Washingtonian who started out in Auburn until she was five and since then, has grown up in Tacoma with her parents and younger sister. A Stadium High student and graduating with class of 2017, this is a very exciting time for her.
Ever since Leanna was a little girl she has always had a passion of helping animals. She grew up surrounded by animals, and has raised chickens, goats, sheep, dogs and cats.
When Leanna is not helping the animals at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, she volunteers in the community teaching private lessons for middle school band students and helping out her old elementary school. Hiking and taking her dogs to the park is one of her favorite activities. Leanna is thrilled about the great opportunity to intern at such a young age at Met Vet and the experience is helping her grow as an aspiring veterinarian.
Michael was born in New York but moved to Western Washington very early on in life and that is where he has stayed. He enjoys table top gaming, bike rides and spending time with his girlfriend and twin boys.
He started working with animals in 2016 after graduating high school working in kennels and as a shelter assistant for the local adoption program and animal hospital. He has worked and trained as a professional German Shepherd trainer and is now looking forward to the excitement of working in a hospital again.
Jonathan is a Tacoma native and joined Met Vet in 2011. He is very happy working with Dr. Warren and her team. Jonathan has a very handsome Maine Coon named Rigamoroll whom he adores. His cat, a senior kitty, has become more and more like one of the characters from “Grumpy Old Men” as he’s gotten older.
Speaking of movies, original true classics like “War of the Worlds” are his prefrtg534eerred way to relax as well as tuning into classical music.
Jonathan loves summer in Wright Park when all is in full bloom and on occasion, when he can, visiting the Oregon coast is his absolute favorite place to be. Last but not least, Italian food is a weak spot. As Jonathan says, “I’ve never run away from a good spaghetti dinner!”
Be sure to say, “Hi” when you see Jonathan here and when out and about.
Hi I am KelliAnn! I was born and raised in the great Pacific Northwest. I grew up in Spanaway/Graham and then moved to Tacoma when I was 16. I have always had a love and passion for animals. One day, I hope to become a veterinary technician so, I can help care for animals. I have three dogs named Max, Zoe and Leia. I also have a cat named Choco.
I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family whether it’s hiking or cheering on our favorite teams. On the good and the bad days, I am always ready to cheer on the Seahawks, Mariners, Dawgs, Sounders and Rainers!
My name is Leilonie. Growing up here in Tacoma I’ve always had a strong passion for animals. My family has many stories of me as a young one portraying my love for them whether it was a puppy strolling along, or a bird on our window sill. At age 7 I got my first dog! Learning responsibility within taking care of him really enhanced my interest in careers involving pets.
Just before I graduated High School the year of 2017, I attended Pierce County’s skill center Vet Tech program and realized that’s the career I long to do. Outside of my time at Met Vet I can be found working at doggy daycare, or at the dog park with my family pups!
My name is Alexander Kidder and I am excited to to join the team as a Kennel Assistant! I was previously a dog trainer at a big pet store chain and am now working towards a Veterinary Technician License.
I currently spend my time rock climbing and training my two dogs: Sousuke the Dachshund/ Terrier mix and Threepio (pictured) a German Shepard/ Husky, who is an amputee with a bit of history before joining my family.
I have lived with a menagerie all my life so I am no stranger to animals of all sorts and am eager to help in any way I can!
