She just recently moved to Tacoma to be with her fiance, and has fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest! Dr. Gordon particularly enjoys preventative medicine, cardiology, and internal medicine.

In her free time, Rayna enjoys singing, playing guitar, and spending time outdoors. She spends most of her time spoiling her large fur family consisting of two dogs, Allie and Noni and two cats, Tucker and Kiki. She is excited for all of the outdoor opportunities here, and to be a part of the Met Vet family!

  • Patricia O’Jala

A Tacoma native, Patricia and her family live with their three cats Tigger, Lazlo, Crooky and pittie, Max! And most recently added to the family, Bob the tortoise! All four fur babies keep everyone busy. One day Patricia hopes to own her own cat rescue and partner with local shelters to help as many felines as possible find their forever homes.

Patricia has been working in the veterinary field since 2003 and is amazing at what she does for our clients and our hospital. We feel lucky indeed that she chose to join us in 2010!

  • Julia Russell

A native of Seattle and Tacoma, Julia has returned to Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital after nine years of wining in Walla Walla and dining in Portland. During her detour, Julia found her furry soul mate, a sweet and handsome poodle/terrier mix named Wilson. Like that other daydreamer who wandered over the rainbow with her four-legged sidekick, Julia realized there’s no place like home and came back to help manage the animal hospital she helped Dr. Warren open.

Julia spends her time out of the office traipsing around the Stadium neighborhood, watching movies at The Grand, dining up and down the 1-5 corridor, and regaling her friends and fans with stories of her travels.

  • Lachelle O’Brien

Hi I’m Lachelle, I’m a Colorado native who recently moved to Washington with my Pomeranian, Calvin and orange tabby, Hudson.

So far I’ve been enjoying the pacific northwest and all that Washington has to offer.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors as much as possible. I like to travel and hope to get the opportunity to travel outside the country more!

My background includes working as a client care representative at other Veterinary Hospitals, and have worked in customer care for several years.

My love for animals and interest in veterinary medicine keeps me motivated to provide exceptional client and patient care. I look forward to getting to know our clients and their fur babies!

  • Gretchen Wendlberger

Gretchen was born in Los Angeles, and was raised outside of Washington D.C. She grew up playing competitive soccer, which lead her to James Madison University, in Harrisonburg, VA.

Gretchen eventually made her way back to the west coast by settling in Tacoma with her husband, and their goofy, expressive golden retriever.

In her free time, Gretchen enjoys being outside as much as possible. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, snowboarding, and being on the water. She has a background in customer service and the health sciences, with a lifelong passion for animals and wildlife.

  • Jamie Coleman

    Licensed Vet Technician

Jamie’s love of the veterinary field started as a kennel assistant while she was in high school. Upon completion of a veterinary assistant program in 2005, she began working for a board certified surgeon, where she was able to sharpen her surgery and anesthetic skills.  She earned her veterinary technicians license in 2010 and continued to immerse herself in specialty and emergency anesthesia at a referral hospital.  We are thrilled that Jamie has opted to share her incredible talents with MetVet, as she truly enjoys spending one-on-one time with clients and their beloved pets.

Born and raised in the idyllic Puget Sound area, Jamie shares her home with her husband and young daughter, a goofy Labrador, and a sweet kitty.

  • Leanna Ford

    Veterinary Assistant

Leanna is a native Washingtonian who started out in Auburn until she was five and since then, has grown up in Tacoma with her parents and younger sister. A Stadium High student and graduating with class of 2017, this is a very exciting time for her.

Ever since Leanna was a little girl she has always had a passion of helping animals. She grew up surrounded by animals, and has raised chickens, goats, sheep, dogs and cats.

When Leanna is not helping the animals at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, she volunteers in the community teaching private lessons for middle school band students and helping out her old elementary school. Hiking and taking her dogs to the park is one of her favorite activities. Leanna is thrilled about the great opportunity to intern at such a young age at Met Vet and the experience is helping her grow as an aspiring veterinarian.

He started working with animals in 2016 after graduating high school working in kennels and as a shelter assistant for the local adoption program and animal hospital. He has worked and trained as a professional German Shepherd trainer and is now looking forward to the excitement of working in a hospital again.

  • Jonathan Oldfield

    Kennel Assistant

Jonathan is a Tacoma native and joined Met Vet in 2011. He is very happy working with Dr. Warren and her team. Jonathan has a very handsome Maine Coon named Rigamoroll whom he adores. His cat, a senior kitty, has become more and more like one of the characters from “Grumpy Old Men” as he’s gotten older.

Speaking of movies, original true classics like “War of the Worlds” are his prefrtg534eerred way to relax as well as tuning into classical music.

Jonathan loves summer in Wright Park when all is in full bloom and on occasion, when he can, visiting the Oregon coast is his absolute favorite place to be. Last but not least, Italian food is a weak spot. As Jonathan says, “I’ve never run away from a good spaghetti dinner!”

Be sure to say, “Hi” when you see Jonathan here and when out and about.
